PIANO LESSONS

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PIANO study

The study of piano provides younger students a solid music theory foundation and a naturally transition to composition. Piano is also a perfect first instrument for students who starts at very young age and may later wish to investigate other instruments or to study voice for long term. In the piano lesson students will be showed the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, but they will also incorporate your favourite songs into your lessons. The piano may be the most versatile of all instruments taught at VIVO College of Music. It is ideal if you do have a piano at home before starting lessons, but you can start lessons with our piano teachers by using an electric keyboard to practice on.

FEATURES

Most of our students rent or buy a piano to practice on at home. We recommend a proper piano but a keyboard that has regular sized keys and a touch sensitive response is alternative. A touch sensitive keyboard means if you press a key harder it will play louder and if you press a key softer it will play quieter.88 keysSustain Pedal (when you hold it down, the sound rings out)Touch sensitive keys (when you play harder, it sounds louder when you play softly, it sounds quieter)
