The violin is a string instrument, usually with four strings tuned in perfect fifths. It is the smallest, highest-pitched member of the violin family of string instruments which also includes the viola, the cello, and the string bass. An individual who plays the violin is called a violinist. The violinist produces sound by drawing a bow across one or more strings, by plucking the, or by a variety of other techniques. The violin is played by musicians in a wide variety of musical genres, including Baroque music, classical, jazz, country music, bluegrass music, folk music, metal, rock and roll, and soft rock.

IMPROVE YOUR MUSIC POWER FROM VIOLIN LESSONS

Violin lessons boost memory and mental capacities

Many studies show that playing the violin (alongside other musical instruments) even for just a year positively affects your brain’s capacity for memory. It can also improve your reading skills, language processing, speech and attention span. Research has found that children and teens who play the violin have stronger verbal and visual pattern abilities than those playing other instruments. Also, violinists have larger than average brains, with those parts connected to left-hand movements particularly responsive and sensitive. For children battling with psychological disorders, playing the violin even has a calming effect that helps prevent episodes.
